Teams & RBAC
Collaborate seamlessly on campaigns and manage user permissions securely using Role-Based Access Control.
What is a Team Workspace?
Instead of sharing login credentials, Goose.re allows you to invite colleagues to a Team Workspace. Everything created inside a Team Workspace—links, custom domains, bio pages, and analytics—is shared among the team members based on their assigned role.
Context Switching
You can be a member of multiple teams simultaneously. Use the team switcher in the top navigation bar of your dashboard to seamlessly swap between your personal workspace and any of your team workspaces.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
To maintain security and prevent unauthorized changes, Goose.re uses a strict Role-Based Access Control system. When you invite a member to your team, you must assign them one of the following roles:
Owner
The creator of the team workspace. Owners have full control over everything, including deleting the workspace, managing billing, adding custom domains, and inviting or removing other members.
Admin
Admins can do almost everything an Owner can do (create/edit links, view analytics, manage custom domains, invite members). However, they cannot delete the workspace, change billing information, or remove the Owner.
Editor
Editors are focused on content creation. They can create, edit, and delete links, bio pages, and QR codes. They can also view analytics. They cannot invite new team members, manage domains, or edit team settings.
Viewer
Viewers have read-only access. They can look at links and view analytics data, making this role perfect for clients or stakeholders who need to see campaign performance without risking accidental changes.
Managing Members
To invite a new member or change an existing member's role:
- Go to Team Settings: Navigate to the Teams section from the left sidebar in your dashboard.
- Send an Invite: Click "Invite Member", enter their email address, and select their role.
- Acceptance: The user will receive an email invitation containing a unique link. Once they log in or create an account, they will automatically join your team workspace.
- Modify Roles: To promote or demote a user, find their name in the member list and select a new role from the dropdown menu (Requires Admin or Owner privileges).
